Doubles Finals (last 4) will take place on the 17 Feb at the Peacock. All welcome. Check the Doubles page to see who's made it into the Semi Finals draw.

Individuals Finals...update. The finals gave a good display of pool. Colin Threlfall (Costello's) and Darren Anderson (Red River) beat stiff opposition to get to the final. In the final Darren produced a very nice clearance in the 3rd game to take top spot on the podium. Thanks must go to Mavis for hosting the finals (nice butties!).

Individuals Finals (last 8) will take place on the 10 Feb. at the Red River, all welcome. Draw to be made on the night. Check the Individuals page to see who's playing.

Four Man semi finals have been completed. Peacock Berties and Red River are through to the Final.

Don't forget: Trials for the 2010 Cumbria 8 Ball Pool Team will take place on Sunday 31st January 2010 (see below).

Aggregates update (20-01-2010): it's very tight at the top for both Div 1 and Div 2 Aggregates. Three players are in with a chance in Div 1 and four in Div 2...that's if J Bell (Wheatsheaf) let's it slip out of his hands with an impressive 16 wins out of 16.

League update (20-01-2010): Division 1; the Red River, who are 15 points clear of nearest rivals (Costello's) and with a match in hand, will be picking up 2009/10 Div 1 title.
Division 2; the Wheatsheaf are 2 points above the Mason's. With both teams only having one match left, it's all to play for. Will Abbey Rd Cons or Jefferson's 'A' play their part in these two crucial matches?

Aggregates update (06-01-2010): Division 1; with the Red River rearranging their last match A Brown (Crofters) jumps to the top. Watch this space!
Division 2; it's still very tight at the top with only two points between 1st and 6th position.

League update (06-01-2010): Division 1; with only two matches left and an extra game in-hand, the Red River look set to win this seasons Div 1 title.
Division 2; the Masons hold top spot, 4 points above Wheatsheaf. The Masons have only one Match left but the Wheatsheaf have two. I know who I've got my money on! Can Chandlers snatch 3rd spot from Peacock 'A'?

Cumbria Pool Team Trials (Men's). Trials for the 2010 Cumbria 8 Ball Pool Team will take place on Sunday 31st January 2010. Barrow's venue will be: Red River. Roll call 12 noon, with play due to start at 12:30pm. All welcome, contact Denis Horan (07901764982) for further details.

I'm sorry to say that 2 teams have been withdrawn from the league, both from Division 2. These teams are the Kings Arms and Last Orders, please mark-up your fixture sheets to show this change. All points gained by teams who have played the Last Orders will be deducted. Points gained in the 2nd half of the season v the Kings Arms will be deducted.

Happy New Year: 1st Matches in 2010 to be played on 6 January, see Fixtures/Results.

Aggregates update (09-12-09): Division 1; A Brown (Crofters) now holds joint 2nd spot with Russ Postlewaite (Red River). D Horan is clinging on to top spot with only goal difference keeping him there!!
Division 2; with J Bell (Wheatsheaf) not playing in December, M Turner (Wheatsheaf) jumps to the top. J Bell, D Leach (Chandlers) & R McPherson (Britannia) sharing 2nd spot

League update (09-12-09): Division 1; commentators curse... Bay Horse 2 v 5 Red River!
Division 2; with only 3 matches left, next week will be very crucial, as the Wheatsheaf (1st) are away to the Masons (2nd).

Aggregates update (18-11-09): With only 2 points between 1st and 7th place in Division 1's aggregates it's still very open. A Brown (Crofters) has won his last 2 games taking him from 5th up to 3rd spot.
In Division 2 aggregates J Bell (Wheatsheaf) climbs to the top with an impressive 17 wins out of 17.

League update (18-11-09): Division 1; the Peacock jump from 5th to 3rd after winning 11 games during their last 2 matches. Can the Bay Horse (10th) put pressure on the Red River (1st) when they play next (9th Dec). In the 1st half of the season the Bay Horse took 3 points from the Red Rivers, can they make it a win this time?
In Division 2; Wheatsheaf are still holding onto top spot but the Masons, in second place (with a game in-hand), are putting the pressure on.

Aggregates update (28-10-09): The top of Division 1's aggregates is getting tighter with Colin Threlfall (Costello's) joining the 2 Red River players who are only 1 point below the top player...D Horan (Red River). R McPherson (Brit) climbs to the top of Division 2's aggregates with J.Bell, M.Turner & P.Bell hot on his tail in joint 2nd place.

Peacock team (Division 1 only) who were playing at the Tally Ho are now back at the Peacock (email your comments to Tony Harris!). Mark-up your Div 1 fixture sheet.

Ormsgill (Division 2) are out of the league, please mark this on your Div 2 fixture sheet. All points gained by teams who have played the Ormsgill will be deducted. This is because the Ormsgill did not complete all their matches in the first half of the season.

Doubles results required: 2nd round played on 14 October 2009. Please e-mail results to the Secretary (Will Longmire).

Aggregates update (7-10-09): Colin Threlfall (Costello's) takes full advantage of his latest two games and joins A Brown (Crofters) in close pursuit of the Red River trio at the top of Division 1's aggregates. M Turner regains the top aggregate in Division 2 as J Hillen takes a drop to 4th!

League update (7-10-09): It’s the clash of the Titans in League Division 2 with the Peacock ‘A’ (3rd) taking on the top team (Wheatsheaf) on the 21st October. Can the Masons, in 2nd place, profit from this clash or will Britannia have something to say about that!

KO Cup/Plate (Semi Finals) draw has been made (see KO Cup page). To be played on the 16 December at neutral venues.

League (16-09-09): Red River are holding their own at the top of Division 1 but can Costello's gain the points (with a game in-hand) to catch them? It's a lot closer in Division 2 with only ten points dividing the top three teams. I'm sure the Masons and the Peacock 'A' will be pushing all the way to push the Wheatsheaf of their perch! All three teams have to play each other before the season's end.

Aggregates (16-09-09): J Hillen (Furness Rugby) climbs above M Turner (Masons) to take the No.1 spot in the Division 2 Aggregates. But it’s all up for grabs with the top ten players still in with a chance. It's just as tight in Division 1’s Aggregates table. D Horan (Red River) is holding tentatively to the top spot with two of his team mates holding him up! J Daly (Costello’s) and A Brown (Crofters) are also within potting distance to the top.

Peacock team (Division 1 only) are now playing at the Tally Ho. Please mark your Div 1 fixture sheet.
